Presentation
It started almost 24 years ago...
In the early years the music was a combination of all kinds of styles, including New Beat. As time went by, the music shifted more towards club, house & dance. Since 1993 we only play house-music. To be more specific: 'till 2008 especially trance, hard-trance and a mixture of the best retro house classics. Some of the biggest names in the Belgian DJ scene started their career behind the decks of Illusion such as Kevin Jee, Tofke, Philip, Jan, Wout, Jean... Illusion’s main room, the ground level was 'till 2008 one of the last places in Belgium to offer you a mix of uplifting trance, hard-trance and progressive house music. But like always all good things come to an end: trance became less popular and during 2008-2009 Illusion switched from trance to electro and groove with a twist of progressive and a few classix...

THE GROUND LEVEL : the ground level brings you the best in popular house music: it's difficult to put the music played at illusion in boxes, but generally it's a mix of electro, groove, progressive with a few classics.DJ's Seelen, Christophe!, Jean Delaru, David and Stijn VM provide you with the best music

THE LEVEL : On May 21st 1999, Illusion reached a new milestone with the opening of "The Level"; Illusions second floor... The Level was original designed as a chill-out room but soon this second floor evolved into a real club with its own atmosphere, contemporary house music and trendy party people. In the early years of "the level" DJ's Wout (Sylver) & Regi (Milk Inc.) created the unique sound of the level that was adapted by a lot of clubs later on. With the upcoming success of both Sylver and Milk Inc. both dj's were replaced by equally acclaimed dj's Christophe and David who made the club an even bigger success. In 2008 David searched professional success in an entirely different branch. DJ Seelen was his obvious replacement as one of the hottest dj's in the genre of the level. In 2009 a musical switch was made at the ground level and the music from the level was mixed with the music from the ground level to create a new style... Since 2011 the Level will be promoted once again as a separate part of Illusion on a few special parties at the level.
